FOO FIGHTERS "On Ice" While GROHL Tours With QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE

April 17, 2002

FOO FIGHTERS have reportedly been put on ice so that singer/guitarist Dave Grohl can extend his stint playing drums for QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, according to Rolling Stone. Grohl played on QOTSA's upcoming album, Songs for the Deaf, and has now delayed the recording of the in-progress FOO FIGHTERS album to prolong his tenure. As a result, the FOO FIGHTERS' fourth album and follow-up to 1999's There Is Nothing Left to will not see the light of day before September.

Grohl will sit behind the kit for QOTSA at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is scheduled to take place on April 27-28 in Indio, California. The group's summer tour plans which are expected to include Grohl have yet to be finalized.
